Apartment Win
Cramped rental bathrooms rarely have a spot for towels, and drilling hooks is off the table. This styled towel tower uses a freestanding stool and baskets, so it sits on the floor and leaves zero marks. Move out and just pick it up, deposit safe.
What You'll Need
- Slim freestanding stool or small wooden step stool (about $15-25) to act as the tower base
- Two small woven baskets (about $10-15 each), blank and unlabeled, for rolled towels and toiletries
- Four to six matching bath towels and washcloths (about $20-30) for a cohesive look
- Small tray (about $8) to corral soap or a candle on top
- Non-slip rubber furniture pads (about $5), the loose kind that sit under feet without adhesive
How to Do It
- Measure the empty corner or wall space beside your toilet or vanity so the stool fits without blocking the door. Nothing is attached, so nothing is harmed.
- Set the stool in place and slip the loose rubber pads under the feet to keep it steady on tile. They lift out with no residue.
- Roll your towels tightly, spa-style, and stack them in the lower basket on the stool shelf or floor beside it.
- Place the second basket on top of the stool for washcloths, cotton rounds, or spare toiletries.
- Style the top with the small tray, a soap dish, or a candle for that boutique finish.
- Remove everything at move-out in under a minute. The floor stays clean and the walls are untouched.
DESIGNER TIP
Stick to two or three towel colors, ideally white plus one soft accent, so the stack reads as intentional and calm instead of cluttered.
