DESIGNER TIP

For small laundry spaces, consider a European-style stacked washer and dryer with a pull-out shelf between them that can serve as a folding surface when needed. In basement laundry areas, create the feeling of a more finished space by installing luxury vinyl tile flooring over concrete and using peel-and-stick wallpaper on one wall as a focal point.
