The Most Expensive Home in North Dakota Is in the Burbs

Currently under construction in a Fargo, North Dakota subdivision, this 25,715-square-foot ultra-luxury mega-mansion is asking $6,500,000 — making it, reportedly, the most expensive home listing in the state. Ten bedrooms, seventeen bathrooms, an 8-car garage, an indoor basketball and pickleball court, a hot yoga studio, and neighbors on all sides. Reddit is processing this at its own pace.

Twenty-Five Thousand Square Feet in Fargo

The home is still in its construction phase, which means the right buyer can collaborate with their own contractor and designer on interior finishes, smart-home integrations, and layout details. What's already locked in: a great room with soaring ceilings, a dual-kitchen setup with a display kitchen and a full butler's pantry prep kitchen, a primary suite wing with a private lounge, dual walk-in closets, and a spa-inspired en suite. A full wellness wing is designed to include an indoor pool, sauna, hot yoga studio, and exercise room. An indoor basketball and pickleball court plus a gymnastics area ensure year-round recreation entirely insulated from the North Dakota elements. And then there's the 5,200-square-foot, 8-car garage with private alley access, built wide enough for exotic supercars, oversized SUVs, or vintage classics. This is, by any measure, a lot of house for 3.4 acres in a subdivision.

Imagine Spending $6.5M and Still Having Neighbors

Reddit's reaction to this listing was swift and largely geographic. One commenter observed that spending $6.5 million in North Dakota and still having neighbors on all sides represents a particular kind of life choice. Another — a former North Dakotan — noted that if they had $6.5 million, they would use it primarily to leave North Dakota. The listing calls this an estate entirely without precedent in the region, which is accurate. Whether that's a feature or a cautionary note is, as always, in the eye of the buyer. The 17 bathrooms remain unexplained.
