A Real Stone Castle in Cleveland, No Attached Garage

Stained glass everywhere, a turret, parapets along the roofline, wood and stone inside, and still no attached garage. This Cleveland castle checks every royal box except the one most suburban buyers care about, and it comes fully furnished.

Live Like Royalty, Within Reason

The 2,378-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bath home was fully renovated in 2024 and sits behind a rock garden with refreshed landscaping. Inside, a wooden staircase greets you at the door, the family room has a stone fireplace and a cozy nook, and the kitchen keeps its original stained glass windows and wood walls alongside new countertops and stainless appliances. Upstairs are a den with a bar, three bedrooms, and two full baths, including a primary suite with cathedral ceilings and a tiled walk-in shower. One bedroom has dark wood ceilings, stone, and a very dramatic window. Out back, there's a porch, a patio, and a two-car garage that is not attached to the house.

A Cleveland Original

The house is minutes from the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Downtown, Tremont, and Ohio City. Local commenters pointed out that the missing attached garage is less of a flaw than it looks: the home was reportedly built in 1924, and plenty of Cleveland's grand old houses from that era were never designed around cars. A few practical notes from the thread: the bedrooms look small, and heating a stone house in a Great Lakes winter probably isn't cheap.

The Internet Has Thoughts

Naturally, this listing caught the attention of Reddit's r/zillowgonewild community, where the thread was flagged "Probably Haunted" and quickly turned to defense planning. Commenters noted the lack of a moat (one suggested digging one), pointed out the castle isn't even on a hill, and argued that crenelations alone wouldn't hold up against a trebuchet. Others wanted to walk the parapet with a bow, plan a D&D night, or see the interior photos from before the renovation, and one pointed out the stark white kitchen has no backsplash at the stove.
