Mature wooded landscape and private grounds in Bartlesville, Oklahoma

A Rare Bruce Goff Original for $449K in Oklahoma

In 1959, Bruce Goff — one of the most significant American architects of the 20th century — designed a private home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. That home, the Russell Collins House, is now on the market for $449,000, fully furnished, meticulously restored, and individually identified as National Register eligible. Reddit's only real complaint is the location. The house itself? Universally beloved.

The Real Thing, Preserved

This isn't a home inspired by Bruce Goff — it's a direct commission, one of fewer than a handful of verified Goff originals remaining in Northeast Oklahoma. The original elements are all here and all intact: clerestory ribbon windows pulling natural light deep into the interior, a diamond-style geometric carport that reads as sculpture from the approach, original kitchen cabinetry, original accordion interior doors, and a professionally restored vintage electric stove that Reddit correctly identified as extremely cool. The gas-and-wood fireplace with its two original flues has been fully restored. Since 2020, nearly $200,000 in documented improvements have overhauled every critical system — dual-zone HVAC, full plumbing, 200-amp electrical, flat roof restoration, all seven sliding doors — while leaving the architectural integrity completely untouched. The home is offered fully furnished with minimal exclusions.

Beautiful House. Not So Much the Location.

Set on 0.87 acres of mature, private landscape in Bartlesville, the Russell Collins House feels entirely removed from the world while remaining central to town. For architecture enthusiasts, this is a genuine unicorn — a living, livable work of art featured in the Architectural Observer and built at a time when Goff was producing some of the most adventurous residential architecture in America. For everyone else, Reddit has already done the math: the house is spectacular, the setting is lovely, and Oklahoma is Oklahoma. Private showings by appointment, buyer vetting required.
