A Geometric Home, a Dome Greenhouse, and 40 Acres

In the scenic hills of Annapolis, California, a 1982 retreat on 40 picturesque acres pairs a striking geometric home with a geodesic dome greenhouse, towering redwoods, open meadows, and a round-and-rhombus window framing sweeping ridgeline views. Listed at $895,000. Reddit's verdict is unanimous: this one is genuinely cute, and yes, the dogs at the end of the video are very happy.

Custom Touches in an Unmistakable Shape

The 2,511-square-foot home has been thoughtfully updated throughout, with hickory hardwood flooring and a custom-remodeled kitchen featuring a Wolf range, custom cherry cabinetry, and granite countertops. The spacious living area is filled with natural light pouring through a distinctive round and rhombus window — the geometric signature that gives the home its name and perfectly frames the surrounding ridgeline. A wood-burning stove, central heating and air, a filtration system, and a backup generator round out the comfort factor, while the four bedrooms and three baths offer plenty of room to spread out across the property's quiet hillside setting.

Forty Acres of Redwoods, Chickens, and a Dome Greenhouse

The land here does as much work as the house. Forty acres of towering redwoods, open meadows, hiking trails, and expansive gardens give the property a genuine sense of self-sufficiency. A covered carport with power and water hookups accommodates an RV or camper, a fully fenced dog run with a 12x8 dog house keeps pets happy (the video's closing dog cameo earned its own round of Reddit approval), and a generous 30x20 chicken coop rounds out the homestead setup. The geodesic dome greenhouse and raised garden beds give the property its name and its charm in equal measure. One Reddit commenter summed up the appeal simply: a beautiful stream nearby to cool off in is one of their biggest dreams for a home, and this property delivers exactly that kind of quiet, self-sufficient escape.
